Larry Ray Melcher, 77, of Hutchinson, peacefully passed away at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center July 24, 2022. Larry was born on September 25, 1944, in Great Bend, Kansas to Irvin and Marcella (Link) Melcher.

Larry grew up in Chase, Kansas and graduated from Chase High School in 1963. Upon finishing high school, he served in the United States Army. After the army, Larry resided in Hutchinson, where he worked for Hamilton Roofing in the acoustical ceiling division.

Larry is survived by: sisters, Jalayn Rowden, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Jeanne Penner, Hutchinson; daughter, Lisa; and caregiver, Jason Penner; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Irvin and Marcella Melcher; brother, Doug Melcher; sisters, Margret Melcher, Janet Branscom; nephews, Mike Rowden and Shane Melcher; as well as two great nieces, Makena Brady and Madyson Penner.

Per Larry's request, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later time.
