Larry "Max" Moss, 79, of Hutchinson, died September 29, 2021, at Good Samaritan Society, Lyons.  He was born November 10, 1941, in Lyons, to Lloyd E. and Evelyn E. (Nichols) Moss.

Max graduated from Lyons High School in 1959.  He worked for 27 years at Jimmies Body Shop, Lyons, and most recently, worked at Elliott Mortuary as a funeral assistant.  Max volunteered for the Lyons Fire Department for over 17 years, and was a member of Countryside Baptist Church, Hutchinson.

On June 10, 1961, he married Loretta J. McMullen, in Lyons.  They shared 60 years of marriage.

Max is survived by:  his bride, Loretta of Hutchinson; children, Steven Moss (Kim) of Navarre, FL, Tamra Moore (Scott) of Port Arthur, TX, and Gregory Moss (Jennifer) of Lyons; brother-in-law, Richard Ewing of Independence, MO; ten grandchildren, Keith Jarman, Simone Ates (Donnie), Audrey Warnecke (Laren), Amber Lawrence (Jonathan), Timmy Moss, Ashlee Tingle, Natalee Moss, Loreta Sneath; and nine great-grandchildren, Aiden Ates, Braelyn Warnecke, Avery Warnecke, Cardyn Warnecke, Sara Lawrence, Hailey Lawrence, Paisley Lawrence and one on the way.

He was preceded in death by:  his parents; brother, Alan; sister, Jeanne Ellen Ewing; grandson, Michael Moss; and great-grandson, Carter Warnecke.

Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at Lyons Municipal Cemetery.  Friends may call from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday and 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday at Elliott Mortuary.
