Laura Beth Ratley, 20, died April 5, 2017, in Red Rock, OK. She was born May 30, 1996, in Wichita, the daughter of Robert Earl and Amy Beth (Seifert) Ratley, Jr.
She graduated from Hutchinson High School in 2014. Laura was the stock manager at PetCo and was attending Hutchinson Community College to receive her nursing degree. She planned to further her degree at Wichita State University to become a Physician's Assistant. Laura attended Eastwood Church of Christ. She was a "diva" and her favorite color was pink with lots of bling. She always wanted to make it on Broadway in New York City. She loved talking in a British accent when ordering her meals at fast food restaurants.
Survivors include: her father, Bob Ratley and wife Otha; mother, Amy Ratley; sister, Alexis Ratley, all of Hutchinson, sister, Leah Ratley of South Hutchinson; stepbrother, Anthony Mahoney of South Hutchinson; stepsisters, Brianna Nichols and husband Troy of South Hutchinson, Alyssa Lollar of Hesston, Ashleigh Lollar of South Hutchinson; maternal grandparents, Stanley Siefert and wife Beverly of Hutchinson; paternal grandparents, Bob Ratley and wife Roben; step-grandparents, Brenda Pardee and Charles of Arlington; great-grandmother, Beverley Burgey of Stafford; nephews, Kaelix and Alaric Mahoney, and Ty Shaffer; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Sandra Ratley.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at Eastwood Church of Christ, 2500 N. Plum, Hutchinson, with Jimie-Wray Mead presiding. Burial will follow in Sylvia Cemetery, Sylvia. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday, with the family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Laura Beth Ratley Memorial Fund in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
