Lawrence Dean "Larry" Forney, 77, died March 16, 2016, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born May 1, 1938, in Hutchinson, to Lawrence M. and Letha (Leaf) Forney.

Larry had worked for the City of Hutchinson in the Forestry Department, a welder for Grains Spouting, and painted elevators for Borton Inc.

Larry married Joan Cook in Dec. of 1960. He later married Sheila Irene Browning Morgan on July 13, 1979, in Hutchinson. She survives. Other survivors include: children, Rhonda (Forney) Rodriquez and husband Ray, Harry Forney and wife Brenda, Matt Forney and wife Bobbie, Melody Forney, Anthony Morgan and wife Stephanie, and Annette Morgan; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three beloved poodles. He was preceded in death by: his parents and a sister, Delores Ann Forney.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Monday March 21, 2016, in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson, with Pastor Kendall Sheats presiding. Friends may sign the memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday through Sunday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
