NORMAN, Okla. – Larry Neese, 85, died May 8, 2015, at Norman Regional Hospital, Norman, Okla. He was born Aug. 26, 1929, in Ulysses, Kan., the son of Darrel Edwin and Elsie Elma (Garrison) Neese.

He graduated from Moffat, Colorado High School in 1947, and attended college in Ft. Collins. Larry married Donna Mae Graber March 6, 1966, in Las Vegas.

They were longtime residents of Las Vegas and later Oklahoma, Larry retired in 1993, as manager of drilling operations for REECO. He was a member of Chisolm Trail Presbyterian Church in Yukon, Okla., and Operating Engineers Local #12.

He is survived by: his wife, Donna, of Norman; sons, Theron, Donald and Kerry Neese, and Clifford Birket III and his wife Carla of Norman, Okla.; daughters, Sandra Moore and husband Steve of Las Vegas, and Angelita Patton of Victoria, Texas; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Weston G. Birket, and his brothers, Harold and Marvin Neese.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m., Friday, May 15, 2015, in Abbyville Cemetery, Abbyville, KS, with Pastor Keith Dellenbaugh officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 14, 2015, at Elliott Mortuary, 1219 North Main, Hutchinson, KS, 67501.
