Lawrence Daniel Sidebottom, 98, died June 26, 2010, at Thorne Care Center, Wesley Towers, Hutchinson.

He was born May 2, 1912, in Sharon, Kan., the son of Daniel W. and Nellie E. Brodbeck Sidebottom.

A resident of Hutchinson since 1948, he retired from the Tinico Paper in 1974.
Lawrence was a founding member of Abundant Life Community Church, now called The Father's House.

On May 12, 1935, he married Grace Elizabeth Harris in Haviland, Kan. She died Sept. 24, 2003.

He is survived by: two sons, Lonnie Sidebottom and wife Midge, and Arthur Sidebottom, all of Hutchinson; a daughter, Deloris Ruby, of Victoria, Texas; two daughters-in-law, Sharolyn Sidebottom of Midland City, Ala., and Earlene Sidebottom Mitchell of Garden City; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife; two sons, Leroy and Jerry Sidebottom; and several brothers and sisters.

Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Thursday July 1, 2010, in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson, with a memorial service to follow at 11 a.m. at The Father's House, with the Rev. Quintin Moore presiding. Friends may call 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, with family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson.
