Lee Eskew, 78, died July 26, 2007, at his home in Penalosa.
He was born Aug. 30, 1928, in Cloud Chief, Okla., the son of Arvell Andrew and Mary Ella McDonald Eskew. He graduated from Lake Valley High School, Oklahoma, in 1946, and graduated in 1951, from Oklahoma State University. A resident of Penalosa since 1956, he was the Penalosa Co-op manager for 24 years, retiring in 1979, and then was a Co-Op financial consultant for 13 years.
He belonged to Penalosa United Methodist Church. He served in the U.S. Army with the Counter Intelligence Corps Branch.
On July 23, 1950, he married Lois Vivian Ginn in Abbyville. She survives.
Other survivors include: their children and spouses, Larry and Terri Eskew, Kingman, and Trish and Frank Jarmer, Pratt; a sister, Iris and Gloyd Huckabee, Arkadelphia, Ark.; and grandchildren, Rob Eskew, Tracey Eskew, Ryan and wife, Keila Jarmer, Megan and husband, Jake Olson, and Shannon Jarmer.
He was preceded in death by a son, Leslie Eskew; and a sister, Lois Tacker.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, July 30, 2007, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, 1219 North Main, Hutchinson, with Pastor Bill Stapleton presiding. Friends may sign the register from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Penwell Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum.
