ARLINGTON - Lee R. Seems, 70, died March 23, 2008, at Mennonite Friendship Manor in South Hutchinson.
He was born Oct. 2, 1937, in Lebanon, the son of Elmer and Ida Fay Manchester Seems. He graduated from Esbon High School in the class of 1955. A resident of Arlington, he was a lineman for Sprint Telephone.
He belonged to Arlington United Methodist Church and was a member of Loyal Order of the Moose No. 982, Hutchinson.
On June 13, 1976, he married Carol Jean Wille in Arlington. She died May 23, 2001.
Survivors include: three sons, Philip Jr., Wichita, Bill and wife, Iona, McPherson, and Ted and wife, Deann, Hutchinson; four daughters, Sheree Lyons and husband, Lowell, Andale, Shawna Hopkins and husband, Troy, and Shirley Bentley and husband, Jason, all of Hutchinson, and Sheila Wille, Mt. Hope; and 18 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, with Pastor Keith Dellenbach presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday with the family present from 7 to 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Abbyville Cemetery.
