Leland R. Conrad's Obituary
Leland R. Conrad, 69, died July 1, 2006, at his home, Hutchinson.
He was born July 21, 1936, in Enterprise, Ore., the son of William Wallace and Alice Luella Hazen Conrad. A longtime Hutchinson resident, he was a 36-year employee at Ineeda Uniform and Laundry and then worked at American Packaging Corporation for three years.
He belonged to Zion Lutheran Church. He served in the U.S. Navy.
On Jan. 17, 1959, he married Patricia J. "Pat" Swartzell in Hutchinson. She survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Richard, Hutchinson; a daughter, Brenda Heim, Hutchinson; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church, with Pastors Judith Washer and Robert L. Albin presiding. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, with military graveside rites conducted by the U.S. Naval Honor Guard.
Memorials may be sent to Zion Lutheran Church or the American Diabetes Association, both in care of the funeral home.
