Lena Kaff, 90, died May 22, 2023, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born May 29, 1932, in Lincoln, NE, to William C. and Marjoria (Goodwin) Helter.

Lena graduated University High School, Lincoln, NE in 1950. Lena worked at Gold's Department Store in Lincoln, NE.  She was a Stewardess for American Airlines based in Tulsa and Dallas. While in Dallas she met her husband, Gale D. Kaff, and they were married on October 11, 1957, in Lincoln, NE. She also worked at Dillons Bakery and at Caldwell Greenhouse in Hutchinson. She was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She loved to read and garden.

Lena is survived by: daughters, Linda Kaff, Hutchinson and Jennifer (David) Pfannenstiel, The Villages, FL; son, Kevin (Anne) Kaff, Overland Park; four grandchildren, Ryan Pfannenstiel, Meagan (Brad) Sadler, Abby and Hadley Kaff; brothers, Larry and Jimmie Helter, NE.

Lena is preceded in death by: her parents; husband Gale, grandson Adam Pfannenstiel, and brother, Robert "Bob" Helter.

Memorial service will be held Saturday, May 27, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., at Trinity United Methodist Church, Hester Chapel, with Reverend Michael Tomson-DeGreef presiding. Friends may sign the book Wednesday thru Friday 9-8, at Elliott Mortuary.
