Lena Miller, 86, died Saturday, December 16, 2017, at her home. She was born October 7, 1931, in Kalona, Iowa, the daughter of Jesse and Anna (Hershberger) Shetler.

She was a member of Cedar Crest AM Church. Lena was a homemaker and independent distributor for Shaklee.

On October 7, 1962, she married Vernon 'Vern' J. Miller in Hutchinson. He survives. Also surviving are: children, JoAnn Brenneman and husband Lowell of Falkville, AL, Conrad and wife Arlene of Arlington, KS; sisters, Alta Yutzy of Hutchinson, Mary Jane Miller and husband Ed, Clara Shetler, Ruth Ann Shetler, all of Kalona, IA; brothers, Dennis Shetler of Kalona, Iowa, Phil Shetler of Irwin, Ohio; and twelve grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Paul, John, Harley and Albert Shetler.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at Cedar Crest AM Church, 7213 West Mills Avenue, Partridge. Burial will be in West Center Cemetery. Visitation with family present will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the church Monday, December 18, 2017. Memorial gifts may be made to Kindred Hospice or Christian Aid Ministries (Bibles for the World), in care of Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
