LYONS - Lenora Clapper, 73, died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. She was born Oct. 10, 1940, in Wynona, Okla., the daughter of Everett Lee and Mary Malinda Fish Boyles.
She had attended Dodge City Schools, had been treasurer for ACTW and worked at HUBCO for 15 years, retiring in 1998. Surviving Lenora is her husband, Nicholas Ray Clapper her spouse for 55 years; the mother of three, Tyra J. Marshall and husband Russell L., Charles W. Clapper all of Hutchinson, Christine L. Gonzalez of Lyons; two sisters and a brother, Linda Stutsman, Sharon Boyles and Cleve Boyles all of Dodge City; four grandsons, a granddaughter and two great-grandsons. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Nicholas R. Clapper Jr.; a sister and a brother, Delores Carlyle and Everett Boyles Jr.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013, at Crosspoint/Westbrook, 2005 N. Hendricks, Hutchinson, with Pastors Andy Addis, Dustin Busick and Travis Heneha presiding. Burial will follow at Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
