Leon J. Eikleberry, 94, died September 29, 2011, at Good Samaritan Center, Hutchinson.
He was born August 30, 1917, in Arlington, Ks, the son of Jesse Lee and Beulah Mae Shackelford Eikleberry.
He attended Arlington and Hutchinson Schools. Leon was the former co-owner of A-1 Camper Sales of Wichita and a retired leadman in the Anodizing Department at Boeing. He was a resident of Hutchinson since 1985, moving from Wichita. Leon loved his Harley Davidson motorcycles and traveling, especially their trips to Yellowstone. He was an avid pool player.
On Oct. 10, 1937, he married Elizabeth F. Parmenter in Wichita. She died January 19, 2011.
Other survivors include: a brother, Kenneth Eikleberry of Las Vegas, NV, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sister, Arta Jean Copenhaver, and a brother, Keith Eikleberry.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday October 3, 2011, at Fairlawn Burial Park with Chaplain Bob Phipps presiding. Friends may call 9-9 Saturday and Sunday with family to receive friends from 3-6 Sunday at Elliott Mortuary.
