LeRoy Otis Durst, 77, of Hutchinson, died May 5, 2019. He was born October 2, 1941, in Morrowville, Kansas, to Sylvester Vaughn and Ila Rose (Hanshaw) Durst.

LeRoy graduated from Morrowville Rural High School in 1959. He owned and operated Durst Service Company for over 25 years, plumbing propane and anhydrous ammonia. LeRoy loved vehicles and was of the Methodist faith.

On May 13, 1989, he married the love of his life, Lois Francine Hill, in Hutchinson. They shared almost 30 years of marriage.

LeRoy is survived by: wife, Lois; children, Terry Durst (Kim), Sherene Hutchinson; stepson, Ty Winsky; grandchildren, Hannah and Zach Hutchinson, Jaleigh and Kodi Durst; and siblings, LaVonne Knox and Les Durst (Karen).

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Leone Eisenhauer.

Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 9, 2019, at Elliott Chapel, with the Reverend Richard Brooks officiating. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary.
