LeRoy A. Martens, 71, died Sept. 29, 2012, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born Oct. 14, 1940, in Hutchinson, to Clarence and Olga Friesen Martens.

LeRoy enjoyed playing the harmonica and was a member of the Millwright and Carpenter's Union #201. On June 12, 1963, LeRoy married Melba Brower. She preceded him in death on Feb. 28, 1991. He later married Mary Minor. She preceded him in death in 2005. Survivors include: son, Gene Martens and wife Chris; granddaughters, Aurora and Cassidy all of Hutchinson; and sister, Verna Voigt of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, with Pastor Matt Stafford officiating. Burial will be in Eastside Cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday with family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.
