Leroy J. Schumacher's Obituary
LeRoy J. Schumacher, 75, died March 1, 2012, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.
He was born Dec. 6, 1936, in Munjor, Kan., to Felix and Elizabeth Herrman Schumacher.
LeRoy graduated from Hays High School in 1955. He was an A2C in the Air Force, a member of VFW, American Legion, Knights of Columbus and a Moose Member.
On Oct. 10, 1959, he married Darlene A. Urban in Pfeifer, Kan. She survives.
Other survivors include: daughter, Jolene Bianciella and husband Joe of Ponte Vedra, Fla.; grandsons, Tony Bianciella of Hutchinson, Nick Bianciella of Hutchinson; sister, Judy Weigel of Hutchinson. LeRoy was preceded in death by: his parents; son, Ricky Schumacher; sister, Alma Aich; and infant brother, Harry Schumacher.
A Parish Rosary will be at 7: 30 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2012, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 3, 2012, at St. Teresa's Catholic Church, 211 E. 5th, with Father Nicholas Voelker officiating. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.
Memorials may be made to LeRoy Schumacher Memorial Fund, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
