Leslie Fred Bishop, 86, of Hutchinson, died May 3, 2019, at his home. He was born October 10, 1932, in Kansas City, Kansas.

Fred graduated from Bishop Lillis High School in Kansas City, Missouri and attended the University of Kansas. He served in the United States Marine Corps.

Fred married Mary Ellen Mueller in Westport, Missouri. Together, they shared over 60 years of marriage and owned Bishop Interiors.

Fred is survived by: wife, Mary Ellen of Hutchinson; daughter, Shawn Cox (Jerry) of Shawnee; three grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bill.

Parish Rosary will be 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, 211 E. 5th, Hutchinson. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 9, 2019, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, with Father Michael J. Maybrier officiating. Military honors will be conducted at the church by the United States Marine Corps. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary. The family will receive friends following the Mass on Thursday at the family home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Teresa Catholic Church, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
