Leslie Roy Jantzen, 92, died Sept. 25, 2012, at his apartment at Wesley Towers in Hutchinson. He was born June 12, 1920, in Kismet, Kan., to Henry Louis and Minnie Deckert Jantzen.
He graduated from Enterprise Academy in 1939 and was a lifetime member of Seventh Day Adventist. He worked in lumberyard receiving and shipping, Master Machines receiving and delivery, and a surveyor for a logging company.
On Nov. 27, 1952, he married Patricia L. Rowland in Lyons. She survives. Other survivors include: daughter, Rachel Massey and husband Gary of Rifle, Colo.; grandsons, Kevin Massey and wife Billie Jean of Lincoln, Neb., Robert Massey and wife E.J. of Parker, Colo.; sister, Irene Eitel of Bonner Springs, Kan.; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: his parents; brothers, Elmer and Dan; sisters, Thelma, Bertha and Edith.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, at Evans Chapel at Wesley Towers, with Clark Jacobs officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.
