PLANO, Texas - Lester Dean Wall, 64, died July 5, 2007, at Presbyterian Hospital, Denton, Texas.

He was born Aug. 19, 1942, in Hutchinson, the son of John and Alice Mable Warkentine Wall. He graduated from Buhler High School in 1960, and Emporia State Teachers College in 1965. He was born and raised in the Hutchinson and Buhler areas, and was a resident of Texas for 30 years, and had lived in O'Fallon, Mo., for nine years, during the 1990s, he was a payroll accountant for 33 years, working for Campbell-Taggart Earthgrains and Sara Lee Bakeries.

He grew up in Buhler Mennonite Church, was a member of First Baptist Church, in O'Fallon, Mo., and was currently at Stonebriar Community Church, Frisco, Texas. Lester has always been a man who dearly loved the Lord.

He married his high school sweetheart, Mariann L. Schnelle in Hutchinson, on Aug. 24, 1963. She survives.

Other survivors include: a daughter, Debra Leann Gray and husband Troy, Plano, Texas; a sister, Betty Ratzlaff, and husband Ray, Buhler, Kansas; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Wall, Hutchinson; and a grandson, Tanner L. Gray, Plano, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Elmer Wall.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 14, 2007, at Buhler Mennonite Church, Buhler, with the Rev. Robert Dalke presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2007, at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Buhler Municipal Cemetery.
