Leta Martin, 85, passed away December 21, 2021, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.  She was born April 19, 1936, in Hutchinson, to Lewis J. and Trela R. (Dale) Nelson.

Leta graduated from Hutchinson High School.  She worked for various companies in the Hutchinson area, and retired with over 20 years of service as an accounting secretary from Cessna, Hutchinson.  For many years, Leta attended Trinity United Methodist Church, Hutchinson, and was currently attending First Church of the Nazarene, Hutchinson.

On August 5, 1966, Leta married Keith E. Martin, in Hutchinson.  They shared over 26 years of marriage prior to his death on December 20, 1992.

Leta is survived by: her children, Barbara (Steve) Schneider and Bill (Linda) Michelstetter, both of Hutchinson; stepchildren, Kathleen Martin of Kansas City, MO, and Randy Martin of Missouri; grandchildren, Joe (Nichole) Redd of Salina, Kristal (Andy) Walker of Wichita, Laura (Kim) Friesen of Eagle River, AK, Jennifer (Todd) Sullivant of Hutchinson, and Kyle (Sierra) Michelstetter of Hutchinson; fifteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild due in April.

She was preceded in death by:  her parents; husband; companion, Pat Bergmeier; sister, Barbara Todd; twin sister, Carma Lou Henry; and father of Barbara and Bill, William Michelstetter.

Memorial service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at Elliott Mortuary, with Pastor Kent Pedersen officiating.  Friends may sign the book from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with the family present from 5 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, at Elliott Mortuary.
