Letha Beverly Ann Enfield, 70, died April 28, 2007, at Pleasant View Home, Inman.
She was born July 30, 1936, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Dale Clarence and Nellie Geraldine Beer Douglas. She graduated in 1954, from Hutchinson High School. A lifetime Hutchinson resident, she had been a sales representative for Morton Salt Co. for over 20 years; she was also a homemaker and a mother to all. She was a loving example of dedication and service to family and friends; "charity never faileth" was her life's work and motto.
She belonged to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she was a faithful counselor in various church programs; she had served as president for the Ward Relief Society and the Stake Relief Society.
On Aug. 1, 1954, she married Charlie F. Enfield Jr., in Hutchinson. He survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, Charlie, III, Hutchinson, and Michael, Burrton; two daughters, Kay Richmond, Ottawa, Ohio, and Kim Carnes, Denver; her mother, Gerry Douglas, Buhler; a brother, Virgil Douglas, El Cajon, Calif.; 26 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with Bishop Robert Thomas presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be in Wildmead Cemetery, Nickerson.
