Letha Juanita Johanning, 92, died Feb. 7, 2014, at her home. She was born Jan. 20, 1923, at the family home in Haven, Kan., to Frank and Ida VanCampen.
She married Chester Nicholson in 1953, and later divorced. Letha married Jospeh Johanning on Nov. 24, 1961, in Hutchinson. He died Oct. 11, 2014.
She went to school in Haven and later worked at the Bank of Haven before going to Boeing, working as an assembler. After 32 years of service, she retired from South Western Bell Telephone Company.
Survivors include: daughters, Raenell Johanning, Sharon Childs and husband Kevin, all of Hutchinson, and Susan Baize and husband Clovis, Versailles, Mo.; son, Kenneth Johanning and wife Thanh, Moreno Valley, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; great-granddaughter, Brooke Johanning; grandson, Hai Johanning; three brothers and four sisters.
Funeral servicewill be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2015, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson with Pastor Darrell Grubbs presiding. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Monday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, with the family to receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Burial will be in Penwell Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson.
