Lewis "LD" Daniel Ensminger, 85, died March 31, 2023, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born April 30, 1937, in Bushong, KS, to Oscar Daniel and Clara DeLilah (Carpenter) Ensminger.

LD graduated from Fargo Senior High School, Fargo, OK in 1957. He then joined the National Guard in Oklahoma for 12 years. After the military, LD worked as a truck driver until he retired.

Lewis is survived by: his children, Danny Ensminger, Penny Delano, Wendell Ensminger, Chad Ensminger, and Shawn Ensminger all of Enid, OK; siblings, Joyce Hasselbring of Hutchinson, Ernest Ensminger of Syracuse, NE, Kenneth (Stephanie) Ensminger of Hutchinson, DeLilah Ensmiger of South Hutchinson; and numerous grandchildren.

He was preceded  in death by: his parents; brother, Jimmy Ensminger; sister-in-law, Joy Ensminger; and brother-in-law, George Hasselbring.

Per Lewis' wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are planned.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Cancer Council of Reno County or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
