Obituary

Lillian M. Brewer, 89, died Dec. 16, 2007, at the Good Samaritan Center.

She was born April 9, 1918, in Navarre, the daughter of Oren Clifford and Ethel Mae Rock. She graduated from Emporia High School in 1936, and attended the College of Emporia. A resident of Hutchinson since 1956, moving from Concordia, she was a homemaker.

She belonged to the Hutchinson Horticulture Club, and the American Legion Women's Auxiliary No. 68.

On Aug. 29, 1938, she married Joseph W. Brewer in Emporia. He died Sept. 30, 2004.

Survivors include: three sons, Neal, Chambersburg, Pa., Owen, Sacramento, Calif., and Dr. Gary, Mission; a daughter, Lori Heller, Emporia; a sister, Margie Hodgson, Idaho Springs, Colo.; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Clifford Rock.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Jack Jarrott presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Penwell- Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum.
