Lillian G. Chaffin, 63, died June 3, 2009, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.

She was born April 1, 1946, in Texline, Texas, the daughter of Raymond V. and Mary Clorinda Gonzalez Chaffin.

A former resident of Liberal and Garden City, moving to Hutchinson in 2005, she was a homemaker.

Survivors include: daughter, Leticia Mitchell, Hutchinson; brothers, Albert Chaffin, Buhler, Joe, Mt. Hope, and Gene, Hutchinson; sisters, Mary Ellen Nance, Rose Munoz and Betty Chaffin, all of Hutchinson; five grandchildren, Crystal Hayes, Mersadie, Braxton, Derrick and Tajhawn Mitchell; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, James Chaffin; and sister, Freda Rosas.

Memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Eastside Cemetery, Hutchinson, with Chaplain Bob Phipps presiding. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and Wednesday and from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, all at Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, Hutchinson.
