Lincoln D. Goss, 85, died November 18, 2010, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.
He was born July 8, 1925, in Hutchinson, the son of Samuel Wesley and Mabel Lillion Cornelius Goss.
He was a WWII Navy veteran, serving as a Chief Motor Machinist Mate 1st Class from 42-45.
Lincoln worked as a general contractor owning his own business, L.D. Goss Construction.
He was a life member of both the V.F.W. Bob Campbell Post #1361 and the National LSM-LSMR Association and was a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church.
On September 9, 1949, he married Anna "Annie" Marie Wolford in Hutchinson. She survives.
Other survivors include; seven children, David C. Goss of Rockford, Illinois, Sheila A. Weaver of Easton, Connecticut, Coleen M. Oberle of Hutchinson, Patrick J. Goss of Hutchinson, Frank L. Goss of Leavenworth, Kansas, Clare J. Hogan of Winchester, Virginia and Angelita M. Mejia of Wichita; 15 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret R. Goss, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m., Monday, November 22nd, 2010, at St. Teresa's Catholic Church with Father Nicholas Voelker presiding. Friends may call 9-9 Saturday and Sunday with the Rosary at 7 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, with military honors conducted by the United States Naval Honor Guard.
