Linda Kay Dellenbach, 66, died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015, at Abbyville. She was born Jan. 13, 1949, at Kearney, Neb., the daughter of Merle Wade and Joy Delight (Day) Clark.
She graduated from Sumner High School, Miller, Nebraska, Nebraska Christian College and Ft. Hays State University with her masters degree. She was a family support supervisor with Social Rehabilitation Services of Kansas, working in the Pratt, Greensburg, Hutchinson and Wichita areas, retiring in 2012. Her real joy was working with her "Dream Team," a group of family support workers and friends at the Pratt SRS office. Linda's greatest gifts were being a wife, mom, grandma and friend. All loved her gentle, Christ-like spirit. On Aug. 24, 1969, she married Keith Alan Dellenbach in Miller, Neb. He survives. Other survivors include: their children, Charity (Travis) Lyon of Cherokee, Okla., Josh (Devan) of Abbyville; a brother, LaMont (Rose) Clark of Willard, Mo.; a sister, Barbara (Dean) Holliday of Bois D'Arc, Mo.; four grandchildren, Lake and Liberty Grace Lyon and Maylee Kayte and Maxton Dellenbach. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015, at the Abbyville Community Center. Burial will be in the Abbyville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. The family will be present to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Abbyville Community Center. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Freedom for Liberty or Shiloh Christian Children's Ranch, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
