Obituary

SALEM, Ore. - Linda Kay Hart, 62, died Saturday, June 15, 2013, at Salem, Ore. She was born, in Hutchinson, Aug. 13, 1950, the daughter of Floyd and Alvina Farney Rayl.

Linda had lived in Oregon the last 20 years, moving from Wichita. She was a 1968 graduate of Hutchinson High School and 1970 graduate of Hutchinson Community College, a member of South Hutchinson United Methodist Church, when in Kansas she was the former owner of Calico Corner Creations at the Hutchinson Mall, Town East and Town West. Linda retired from Macy's, Salem, Oregon, as Clinique counter manager. Her hobbies included reading, crafting and sewing, gardening and travel.

She was married to Randall Hart in 1969, they were divorced in 1999.

Survivors include: their children, Jeremy, Christina (Tim Smale), both of Portland, Ore., David of Salem, Ore.; mother, Alvina Rayl of Hutchinson; sisters, Marsha Mielke (Steven) of St. George, Utah, Annette Smith (Monty) of Hutchinson; nephews, Eric Mielke (April Eldredge) of Phoenix, Ariz., Chad Mielke, Owen and Austin Smith, all of Hutchinson. She was preceded in death by her father. Linda in also survived by her companion pets, Isabella (Izzie), the Boston Terrier, Purrcilla and Chin Chin, her two cats and her three granddogs, Leroy, Stella and Elmer.

Cremation has taken place. Inurnment will be at a later date in the family lot at Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson.
