Linda Kay Hunt, 63, died Friday, June 15, 2012. She was born Sept. 5, 1948, in Pittsburg, Kan., the daughter of John and Zola Henderson Leikam.
She graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1966, Hutchinson Community College in 1968, and Sterling College in 1970, with her degree in secondary education. Linda was a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church and the American Quilters Society. She taught English at Fairfield High School, was a clerk typist at Hutch Title and Abstract Office, a cashier for Davenport Auction and a clerk-salesperson for Cottonwood Quilts for the last 14 years.
On Dec. 27, 1977, she married Myron B. Hunt at St. Teresa's Catholic Church. He survives, along with her mother, Zola A. Leikam, both of Hutchinson. She was preceded in death by her father.
Parish Rosary will be 9:30 a.m. Thursday, June 21, 2012, followed by the Funeral Mass at 10 a.m., both at St. Teresa's Catholic Church, with Father Nicholas Voelker officiating. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary.
