Linda L. Jackson, 62, passed away Oct. 29, 2012, at her home in Hutchinson. She was born Sept. 10, 1950, in Beggs, Okla., to Artha Lee Adams.
She graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1965 and attended Adele Hale Business College and Cronford Business College. Linda was a member of St. John CME Church and involved in many church organizations. She retired from sales at Goodwill.
She married LeRoy Reed Jr. and they later divorced. He died March 12, 2005. On Sept. 14, 1972, she married Cedric Hubert Jackson in Hutchinson. He died Aug. 10, 2005.
She is survived by: daughters, Teresa Paskel of Hutchinson, Tammy Gray of Hutchinson; siblings, Clemmie Campbell of Las Vegas, Clyde Barbee of Los Angeles, Lola Smith of Memphis, Lorna Jean Williams of Wichita, Marshall Adams of Norman, Okla., Vanessa Lyons of Fla., Johnnie "Eddie" Adams of Okla.; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Linda was preceded in death by her mother; stepfather, Johnnie Adams; husbands, LeRoy Reed Jr., Cedric Hubert Jackson; daughter, Tawana (Reed) Shumpert; and son, Harley Reed.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, with Reverend JoAnne Dixon-Lewis officiating. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday through Sunday.
