Linda Nielsen, 72, died February 29, 2020, at the Kansas Heart Hospital, Wichita.  She was born December 18, 1947, in Gideon, MO, to Jack and Freda (Hall) Chapman.

Linda graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1965.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed working in her garden planting flowers.  Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, and enjoyed a special bond with her granddaughter, Teigan.

On June 18, 1969, she married Robert Nielsen in Hutchinson.

Linda is survived by:  her husband of almost 51 years, Robert; daughter, Kara Nielsen; granddaughter, Teigan Nielsen; and sister, Lois Voth, all of Hutchinson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother-in-law, Eldon Voth.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 2020, at Elliott Chapel, with David Sidebottom officiating.  Private family burial will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson.  Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and Friday, with the family present Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.
