Obituary

Linda Sue (Dick) Osner, 66, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, December 8, 2016. She was born October 16, 1950, in Grand Island, Neb., the daughter of August and Hazel (Wall) Dick.

She grew up in Greensburg, KS, running the Kansan Inn Motel and Restaurant with her family until moving to Hutchinson, in 1988. Linda was a 1968 graduate of Greensburg High School, a 1986 graduate of Dodge City Community College, and attended Emporia State University. Linda was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, the Chamber Chorale, and Trinity United Methodist Church. She was a registered nurse, working in Greensburg, and at the Hutchinson Medical Center and Hutchinson Hospital.

On April 17, 1999, she married Melvin Lee Osner in Hutchinson. He survives. Also surviving are: her children and their spouses, Angela Branscom (Steve), Terry McDowell , Jeremy McDowell (Haleola), all of Hutchinson; a sister, Sandy Foster (Brian) of Pratt; six grandchildren, Denton, Alexis, and Lacie Branscom, Kahalewai, Paige, and Kalia McDowell. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Bob Dick.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with the Rev. Dr. Kim Biery presiding. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Elliott Mortuary. Memorial gifts may be made to the Arthritis Foundation-Kansas or Hospice of Reno County, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
