Obituary

Linda Sue Parsons, 64, of Hutchinson, was called to her Heavenly home on Dec. 3, 2010.

She was born Aug. 21, 1946, in Coffeyville, Kan., to K.Y. and Evelyn Irene Crum Cole.

She attended school in Lenapaa, Okla. and moved to Hutchinson with her family in 1957. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Church of The Nazarene. She was a founding member of the Hen and Chicks Club. She also enjoyed crafts, needlework and her grandchildren.

She married Joe Crank in March of 1961, and he died in a car accident in Dec. of 1967. She then married Richard Parsons Aug. 30, 1969, in Hutchinson. He survives.

Other survivors include: two sons, Jimmy Ray Crank and wife Stacy of Hutchinson and Timothy L. Parsons of Hutchinson; a daughter, Krista L. Parsons of Lawrence, Kan.; her father, K. Y. Cole of Bartlesville, Okla.; brothers, Jim Cole of South Hutchinson and Randy Cole and wife Janice of Torrence, Calif.; sister, Cathie Showalter & husband Dean, South Hutchinson; three grandchildren, Tyler M. Kroeker, Breanna N. Parsons and Cheyenne R. Parsons. She was preceded in death by her mother.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2010, at First Church of The Nazarene, 43rd and Monroe, with Pastor Doug Wyatt officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday with the family receiving friends from 6:30 to 8p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.

Memorials may be sent to Cancer Council of Reno County in care of Elliott Mortuary.
