Obituary

BUHLER - Linda Ropp, 62, died June 1, 2010, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.

She was born Feb. 2, 1948, in Newton, the daughter of Raymond Wes and Velma Dey Lehman Suenram.

She graduated from Halstead High School in 1966, and Hutchinson Community College in 1988. A resident of Buhler, she was retired as office manager of Dillons Distribution Center, where she had worked for Dillons for over 25 years.
She belonged to Faith United Methodist Church. She was a volunteer at Buhler Sunshine Home. She participated at Reins of Hope and was a member of the Kansas Buffalo Association. She was a member of the United Methodist Women, and was recently awarded the UMW Woman of the Year.

On Aug. 26, 1967, she married Dan L. Ropp in Halstead. He survives.

Other survivors include: a son, Tracy, Goddard; a daughter, Jody Holle and husband Curtis, Marysville; two grandchildren, Matthew and Claire Holle, Marysville; and a brother, Rick Suenram and wife Karen, Syria, Va.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday June 4, 2010, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Ron Kite presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, with the family present from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday. Cremation will take place. Private family graveside service will be at a later date in Halstead Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the church, Reins of Hope, or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, all in care of the mortuary.
