Linda Diane Toms, 63, died Aug.16, 2010, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.

She was born April 16, 1947, in Stafford, the daughter of Curtis D. and Ruby Jean Munden O'Dell.

She had been a school teacher, counselor and retired United Methodist Minister. She was a 1965 graduate of St. John High School, Ft. Hays State University, Oklahoma University and St. Paul School of Theology.

She is survived by: her children, Travis Toms and wife Sara, Kansas City, Ks., Diana Toms, Hutchinson, Mark Toms, Watertown, Wis.; her parents; a brother, Curtis "Bud" O'Dell; two sisters, Deanna Shelton and husband Russell, Nancy Berens and husband David, all of St. John; three grandchildren, Anthony, Evan and Lily Toms.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010, at First United Methodist Church, First and Walnut, Hutchinson, with the Reverends Mark Conard, Rick Saylor and Phil Fischer officiating. Friends may call 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary. Family will be available to greet friends 9 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church. Burial will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Fairview Park Cemetery, St. John.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Toms Grandchildren Trust Fund in care of Peoples Bank and Trust, Hutchinson, or Camp Horizon, Arkansas City, in care of Elliott Mortuary.
