Lizzie Irene Nisly, 82, died Aug. 3, 2016, at her home in Hutchinson. She was born Sept. 13, 1933, in Hutchinson, to Daniel D. and Amanda (Schrock) Nisly Jr.
Lizzie Irene co-owned Nisly Bakeshop for many years. She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening (especially her flowers), her flock of sheep, her family of cats, and feeding and observing her birds. Lizzie Irene also loved needlework, embroidery, and puzzles. For many years, she and her sister sold their produce and homemade goods at the Reno County Farmers Market. Lizzie Irene was a member of Center Amish Mennonite Church and enjoyed daily private time with her Lord.
Survivors include: many cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Fannie Viola Nisly.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 7, 2016, at Center Amish Mennonite Church, 7611 W. Morgan, Hutchinson, with David Yoder, Dwight Miller, and Oren Yoder officiating. Burial will follow in West Center Cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the church.
