Lloyd Dean Schroeder, 76, died August 4, 2012, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born October 21, 1935, in Olpe, Kansas, to Walter Benjamin and Martha Sophie Kettner Schroeder. He served in the Army Reserves and was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. Lloyd was a salesman for Sears in the automotive department for 33 years where he retired in 2000 and went to work at Westlake Hardware part time for the last 10 years. On September 15, 1957, he married Donna Ruth Phillips in Larned, Kansas. She survives.
Other survivors include: daughter, Lisa Gleason and husband Lee of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Christopher Williams and wife Jennifer of Wichita, Brent Williams and wife April of Edmond, Oklahoma, Katelyn Krieg of Hutchinson; great-grandsons, Collin Williams of Edmond, Oklahoma, Corbin Williams of Wichita; and sister, Geraldine Rees of Emporia.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Walter and Gilbert Schroeder.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 7, 2012, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, with Reverend Chad Trunkhill officiating. Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Monday with family to greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary. Memorials may be made to Hospice House, or Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, both in care of the mortuary.
