Lloyd L. Wiseman, 90, died Sept. 2, 2016, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born Aug. 11, 1926, in Centralia, to Earl and Ruby (Allen) Wiseman.
Lloyd graduated from Centralia High School and then received both his bachelor and master degrees from Kansas State University. He worked as a 4-H extension agent, as an elementary and middle school teacher, and a correctional officer at KSIR. Lloyd was a member of New Covenant Presbyterian Church, formerly Northminster Presbyterian Church.
Lloyd was a lifetime member of the Mayflower Society, the Farmhouse Fraternity at K-State, and the Toastmasters.
On June 9, 1951, he married Alma L. Means in Viola. She died Oct. 12, 2010. Survivors include: sons, Steve Wiseman and wife Linda of Friendswood, Texas, Leslie Wiseman and wife Suni of Enid, Okla., Lynn Wiseman and wife Lori of Plano, Texas; daughters, Annie Wiseman-Young and husband Dennis of Fort Worth, Texas, Alice Jolly-Fuller of Andover; 15 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: his parents; brothers, Clifford and Harold; and sister, Francis Van Cleave.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 9, 2016, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Gary Getting officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. in the Viola Cemetery, Viola. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, with the family to receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary.
