Lloyd C. Yoder, 72, died Sept. 8, 2007, at Hospice House.
He was born Oct. 29, 1934, in Yoder, the son of Tobias C. and Barbara Nissley Yoder. He graduated in 1952 from Haven High School. A resident of South Hutchinson for 50 years, he retired as a letter carrier for the U.S. Post Office after 36 years of service.
He belonged to Yoder Mennonite Church, National Association of Letter Carriers, and was a longtime and charter member of the Kansas Mennonite Men's Choir. He voluntarily served in the 1 W Service, Denver.
On Aug. 4, 1957, he married Shirley Headings in Yoder. She survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Corwin and wife, Michelle, Holt, Mo.; a daughter, Lori Kizziar, South Hutchinson; two brothers, Glen, Hutchinson, and Orval, South Hutchinson; a sister, Anna Ruth Yutzy, Yoder; and five grandchildren, Cara Yoder, Emily Yoder, Makenzi Yoder, Jeremy Kizziar and Kylee Kizziar.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Calvin.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at South Hutchinson Mennonite Church, Yoder Campus, (formerly the Yoder Mennonite Church), with Pastors Howard Wagler and Eric Miller presiding. Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, with the family present from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Yoder Mennonite Church Cemetery.
Memorials may be sent to Leukemia Society or Hospice House, both in care of the funeral home.
