Obituary

Lois I. Buggeln, 85, died Nov. 21, 2007, at Golden Plains Health Care Center.

She was born Aug. 4, 1922, at Larned, the daughter of Denver and Hazel Hutton Luman. She attended Nickerson High School. A longtime Hutchinson resident, she was a homemaker.

She belonged to Eastwood Church of Christ.

On June 7, 1942, she married Charles W. Buggeln at Hutchinson. He died July 10, 1986.

Survivors include: two sons, Charles W. "Bill" Jr., Augusta, and Bob, Hutchinson; a brother, Robert Luman, Hutchinson; a sister, Alice Johnson, Hutchinson; two stepsisters, Maxine McMurray, Hutchinson, and Marie Trisler, Barnsdall, Okla.; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Doc Smyres; four brothers, Raymond, Leonard, Wilbur and Darrell Luman; and a sister, Velda Cavanaugh.

Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. today at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Huntsville Cemetery, rural Plevna. Friends may sign the register from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and Sunday at the mortuary.

Memorials may be sent to Eastwood Church of Christ or the Central Church of Christ Mission Endowment Fund, both in care of the mortuary.
