Lois I. Johnson, 91, died March 3, 2010, at Thorne Care Center, Hutchinson.
She was born Oct. 10, 1918, in Augusta to Clarence and Jane Downing Vinson.
She married Earl Francis Johnson on July 15, 1936, in Burrton. He died Sept. 22, 1985. A resident of Hutchinson since 1989, she was a homemaker. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Burrton.
Survivors include: two daughters, Sharon Miller, Hutchinson, and Peggy Ricketts and husband Howard, Wichita; two sisters, Doris Fernandes, Hayward, Calif., and Donna Crum and husband Roger, Louisville, Ky.; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Vernis Thompson.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 6, 2010, at the United Methodist Church, Burrton, with Pastors Alan Stambaugh and Frank Morgan presiding. Burial will be in Burrton Cemetery. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday with the family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.
Memorials may be made to Burrton United Methodist Church, Thorne Care Center or Hospice Care of Kansas in care of Elliott Mortuary.
