Obituary

Lois P. Locke, 89, died Sept. 30, 2007, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.

She was born July 17, 1918, in Saline County, the daughter of Clarence and Lottie Banker Garrison. She was a longtime resident of the Langdon community moving to Hutchinson in 2006. She graduated from Salina High School with the class of 1935, and attended Kansas State University. She was a farm wife and homemaker.

She belonged to Arlington United Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star, serving as worthy matron of the Arlington Chapter and the extension home unit, charter member of the Arlington Golf Club, United Methodist Women, and Ninnescah Federated Women's Club.

On Oct. 20, 1939, she married Gene D. Locke in Salina. He survives.

Other survivors include: a son, Steven Locke, Langdon; a daughter, Pamela Scott and husband, Alexander, Langdon; two brothers, Harry Garrison and wife, Bonnie, Salina, and George Garrison and wife, Virginia, Salina; four grandchildren, Stephany Locke, Garden City, Roger Scott Locke, Arlington, Katherine Scott-Ward, North Richland Hills, Texas, and Garrison Scott, Albuquerque, N.M.; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers; a sister; and a grandson, Tad Douglas Locke.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Elliott Chapel, 1219 North Main, Hutchinson, Kansas with Pastor John Wright presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery.
