Obituary

Lois Grace Webb Lyons, 86, died June 3, 2010, at her home in Hutchinson. She was born March 20, 1924, in Shelbyville, Mo., the daughter of Arthur A. and Allie Grace Smith Webb. A longtime Hutchinson resident, she was a diaconal minister at First United Methodist Church, Hutchinson. On Nov. 12, 1945, she married Calvin Lyons in Wichita. He died Jan. 18, 1981.


Survivors include: daughter, Laura Cook and husband Phillip of Hutchinson; sons, Reed Lyons and wife Claudia Mitchell of Seattle, and David Lyons of Phoenix; grandsons, Jeffry Cook and wife Leslie of Orange Park, Fla., Jason Cook and wife Beth of Hutchinson; eight great-grandchildren, Christian and Victoria Cook, Kiersten Cook, Allison Cook, Ryan Cook, Samantha Simmons, Nikki Lucas and Madison Anthony and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her husband; parents; four brothers, Arthur, Howard, Daniel and David Webb; sister, Ruth Buchanan; two nieces and two great-nephews.

Memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, June 12, 2010, at First United Methodist Church, Hutchinson, with Rev. Mark Conard presiding. Friends may sign the book today through Friday at Elliott Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church in care of the mortuary.
