Lois L. Myers' Obituary
SYLVIA - Lois Louise Myers, 90, died Nov. 5, 2011.
She was born Feb. 14, 1921, at Sylvia, the daughter of Carl Henry and Hazel Delight Cummings Hudson.
She was a lifetime resident of Sylvia, graduating from Sylvia High School in 1939, and a member of the Sylvia United Methodist Church. Lois was a homemaker.
On Aug. 12, 1940, she married C. Edward Myers at Sylvia. He survives.
Their children and spouses include: two sons, Carl (Ramona) of Hutchinson, Steve (Lynne) of Brownsville, Texas; a daughter, Mary Kay (Larry) Stiggins of Lubbock, Texas; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Hudson and a sister, Helen Mattison.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, 2011, at Sylvia Cemetery, followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. in Sylvia United Methodist Church, with Pastor Joyce E. Beam officiating. A register book will be available from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday with family present from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, Hutchinson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church, in care of the mortuary.
