Obituary

Lois Faye Nelson, 78, of Hutchinson, died November 2, 2018, at Diversicare of Hutchinson. She was born March 7, 1940, in Guthrie, Oklahoma, the daughter of John N. and Thelma G. (Stewart) Bright. Lois graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1958 and attended Salt City Business College.

She worked as an adjudicator for the United States Department of Citizenship and Immigration Services for over 30 years until her retirement. Lois was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, South Hutchinson.

Surviving are: daughters, Carmen Young and husband Horace of Cibolo, TX, Antoinette 'Toni' Nelson of Lawrence, Jacque Bosanco and husband Jack of Millington, TN; grandchildren, Alexandria, Mariah, Jack, Illeana, Aiden, Yessenia, John, and Jasmine Bosanco; sister, Vivian Lowe of Hutchinson; and brother, John Wayman Bright and wife Louise of Hutchinson.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation has taken place. Celebration of Life will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 7, 2018, at Elliott Chapel, with Father Juan Garza officiating. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday through Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary. Memorials are suggested to American Lung Association or the church, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
