Lola Vivian Klepper, 103, died June 11, 2015, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born Nov. 21, 1911, in Pretty Prairie, to Charles A. and Cordilla Alice (Hemphill) Lambert.
She graduated from Sterling College, and completed some graduate work at Kansas State University. She taught Home Economics and Spanish. Later she was in food service management at Monmouth College, Monmouth, Ill. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
On July 7, 1951, she married Martin Simon Klepper in Hutchinson. He died Jan. 24, 1997. Survivors include: daughters, Diane Wagner and husband Joel of South Hutchinson, Vivian Hardage and husband Samuel of Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.; grandchildren, Greg Wagner of Manhattan, Kan., Kate Ancell of Glencoe, Ill., Adam Hardage of Fountain Valley, Calif., Chase Hardage of San Diego, Calif., Samantha Hards of Chicago, Ill; great-grandchildren, Ben Ancell, and Savannah Hardage. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, June 14, 2015, at Mennonite Manor Chapel, South Hutchinson, with Reverend Mark H. Miller presiding. Burial will follow in Lone Star Cemetery, Pretty Prairie. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with the family to receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
