Lonnie Lee Tipton, 72, of Hutchinson, died June 10, 2018, at Research Medical Center, Kansas City, Missouri. He was born February 1, 1946, in England, Arkansas, to Gentry and Willie (Moody) Tipton.

Lonnie worked as a machinist for Eaton Corporation for over 30 years.

On August 3, 1987, he married Wilma Gardner in Miami, OK. She died September 21, 2017. Lonnie is survived by: daughter, Linda Scoggin and husband Chris; son, Doyle Tipton; stepdaughter, Debra Hibbard; stepson, David Gardner, all of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Benjamin, Ike, and Ashley Cole; great-grandson, Hunter Jernigan; sister, Edna Tipton; brothers, Marvin Tipton and R.C. Tipton, all of Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Friday, June 15, 2018, at Eleventh Ave. Chapel, 1326 W. 11th, Hutchinson, with pastor Earlene Ratliff officiating. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at Elliott Mortuary.
