LoRee Blew, 87, died Friday, March 18, 2016. She was born Aug. 24, 1928, in La Crosse, the daughter of Charles L. Reid and Etta (Butler) Reid Johnson.

LoRee was a 1946 graduate of Hutchinson High School and member of Castleton Union Church. She was active in many church and community projects.

On Feb. 16, 1947, she married Frankie Lee Blew in Hutchinson. He died March 13, 2004. LoRee is survived by: their children, Sharon, Rex (Amy), Jerry (Dee), Karen Johnson (Dean), all of Hutchinson, and Diana Kranz (Jack) of Haven; sister, Shirla Hardy of Cheyenne, Wyo.; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Herbert, Everett, Charles, Elward and Dale Reid.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 21, 2016, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Robert Ulrich presiding. Burial will be in Pleasantview Cemetery, Darlow. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Elliott Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the church or Prairie Sunset Home, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
