Obituary

Loren Edward Cubbage, 83, died February 18, 2016, at Schowalter Villa, Hesston. He was born January 24, 1933, in Stafford, to Ralph and Beulah (Dark) Cubbage.
He married Lila Lee Ellis. She died in 1975.
Loren served in the National Guard from 1950 to 1954. He was a truck driver for Midwest Iron and Metal for many years before his retirement.
Survivors include: sons, Ron Cubbage, Kinsley, Dennis Cubbage, TX; daughters, Arnita Holuska, Derby, Brenda Schaffer, Arkansas, JoLynn Reece, Washington; step-daughter, Tonya Singleton, Wichita; step-son, Aaron Cubbage, Wichita; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; brother, Jerold Cubbage; and a sister, Virginia Fox.
He was preceded in death by his wife; son, Roger Cubbage; and sisters, Frances Winchester and Betty Lou Redgate.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service was held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 22, 2016, at Schowalter Villa, Hesston, with Chaplain Wendy Miller presiding. Graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 26, 2016, in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson, with military honors conducted by the Kansas Army National Guard. Friends may sign the book Tuesday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary. Memorials may be made to the Schowalter Villa, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
