Obituary

Loren Duane Snell, 56, died April 23, 2009, at his home.

He was born April 4, 1953, at Travis Air Force Base, Sacramento, Calif., the son of Loren Russell and Dixie Lee Elam Snell.

He was a 1971 graduate of Partridge High School. He had worked for Rainbow Bakery, Rich Paint and American Salt Mine. He also worked at Joanna's Café in South Hutchinson, which was owned by his mother.

Survivors include: son, Leland Snell and wife Sabrena; companion, Donna Matison; brother, John A. Snell; sisters, Mona L. White and Jody L. Levene, all of Hutchinson, Bobbie Rogers, South Hutchinson, and Anna Wilson, Newport News, Va.; stepfather, Harold Levene, South Hutchinson; four grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father; mother, Dixie Lee Levene Crowe; grandparents; brother, Loren C. Snell; a niece; three aunts; and an uncle.

Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Monday April 27th at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Harold Nelson presiding. Cremation has taken place. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and Sunday.

Memorials may be sent to the Hutchinson Animal Shelter, in care of the mortuary.
